Not sure what to say?

Thump used to visit often. We had 4 girls around his age but he was more like a brother than one we competed over. He even drove one or more of us to the city to visit our grandmother. She loved having him chaperone us to dinner and the theater. Thump was definitely the big brother I did not have! What a super guy! Barby Howe

Thump.....So many memories from the Hopkinton days. I don't remember but you used to push me in the baby carriage in Hopkinton. Many laughs and good stories from the many Thanksgivings we had with your family. Our parents were best friends. To Suzanne and Sandy.....what a wonderful person Thumper was. Love...Missy Arnold Field

Grove of 100 Memorial Trees

Thumper was a loyal and best friend to Billy H. And although I only saw him a few times, his good humor and laugh will remain in my memory forever.

Single Memorial Tree

The Southern Auers are saddened by this news. We all loved Thumper´s enthusiasm for just about anything and fondly remember the get togethers initiated by Thumper and Sally. His cousin, Chuck Auer and spouse Helen treasured their times together and were so grateful for the continued contact and showing of love. I´ll always remember him in a gimmie cap with that great grin under the brim. My brother in Georgia, Charles Auer, his family, along with Mike and me will miss him and are just glad to...

Sally: So sorry to hear of your loss! Carleton was a great guy, he will be missed by many! Dr. Charles A. Gaides

The two remaining "Mitchell girls" send our condolences to the Auer family. Dorothy and Rebecca

So many fond childhood memories of Thumper and Bill Hungerford sharing meals, softball and stories with us in Hopkinton. Thump was one of a kind! Love to his family, Barby Howe
