Not sure what to say?

Dr. Acosta was one of the finest in the medical world! He will be remembered dearly in the family of Linney R. White. He treated my father and my family with extraordinary care, and I will forever have fond memories of him. He is greatly admired too for his service in the U.S. Air Force. From the stories I heard, he was one of the best officers in the medical field! My husband and I both appreciate his tender medical care in his family practice. He will be missed. Alice White Payne

I just saw today your post in memory of his passing! I missed seeing him and you guys! I lost touched after he retired and Angel moved away. Known you guys for many years and am so sadden and sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man!
I know him as my doctor, dad to Angel and Carlos my school mates and loving husband. Again, so sorry for your loss!

The year was 1970 or 1971 and my family had just arrived in Hampton. I had a bike accident and Dr. Acosta took me in as his patient . I was just entering the 3rd grade. My foot healed and I continued to get my vaccinations etc. I remember his wife worked in the office and was always very nice to me. I never imagined that many decades later my husband and I would have the same medical office arrangement.

I met Dr. Acosta in 1978 because of an accident at work and he was the doctor i was sent too. I walked in the office on Todd's Lane and was greeted by two of most professional nurses (Jeane and Hazel.) I was hooked He was more than just a Doctor. He treated you like family. My family and I were patients of his.I had been with him for almost 36 years when he retired. I will always remember him telling me and my girls "A woman knows her body better than anyone". He will always be the Best...

It is with much heartfelt sympathy that I write this condolence...to Jeane, Carlitos, family, friends, and patients who have been touched by this loss. It is so hard to find the right words to say during this difficult time. What I can say is that I feel so blessed to have known such a wonderful doctor and human being. Carlos always had a smile and would lighten up any day. His love for his family, friends, and patients was always so genuine. His love for animals also was always so...

Jeane and family,

I first met Dr Acosta and Jeane at Windward Towers where I worked for many years. I then started going to his practice after following my doctor there. Dr. Acosta and Jeane were one of the nicest couple you could find. He will be greatly missed.

Rip Dr.Acosta

He was known as many things...Doctor, AF officer, golfer, friend, Latino, "his way or the highway," strict disciplinarian, hard worker, rum drinker, semi decent Spanish singer, dog lover, bad joke teller...but to me he was my Papa. Came to be my dad after the death of my biological father. He WAS my dad for 46 years. Always there, always with a loving hug, always with a gregarious laugh. Loved by his family and his patients adored him. Unfortunately for me I lost this man of mine. I...

Our prayers and condolences go out to Jeane and Dr. Acosta's family. I am here today because of Dr. Acosta's quick diagnoses of a brain tumor and immediately getting me into surgery with Dr. McAdam. We never minded visits to his office because he was not only our doctor, but we considered him our friend. He was our doctor for about 30 years, a real gentleman and the finest doctor. He will be in our hearts forever
