My introduction to Carlos was at 1 Engine when Medic 31 was the EMS unit running out of there. Carlos was being oriented to the wagon when he slipped off, whacking his head. Initially unconscious, we collared and boarded him. In the medic unit he came to. I still remember vividly every 2-3 minutes him asking "where am I?." I cant believe that your gone. its unrealistic to me. i will always remember the times that you would drive me and karina places like the movies. I also wont forget the way u snored while you slept in the hotel room in ocean city about a year ago:) you will be missed so much . rest in peace papi carlos!

I am saddend to hear about Carlos. I have many fond memories of him from my early years in the fire service. He was a mentor to me and many others. I still tell people about his tendancy to make HOT food for every meal. He was a good cook, a great fire fighter and an exceptional man.
