Not sure what to say?

Great friend coach and science teacher. Rip from Suzanne watkins joyce

Mr. Osgood was my tennis coach at Goshen and my friend. He was one of the nicest guys I ever new and was always so warm and welcoming whenever I would see him around. I was honored to be at the ceremony when they re-named the tennis courts in Goshen after his legacy. He dedicated so much time at those courts helping kids with their tennis while also teaching them about life and strengthening their character.
I would know something was wrong if I didn't see him at the high school...

I was so fortunate to have Mr. Osgood as one of my teachers at GCS.
His tremendous love for science influenced my career choice. I truly appreciate the quality of education that I received at GCS & Mr. Osgood was one of the best. It never occurred to him to expect anything but the best from us. He taught male & female students equally. There was no age, gender, or social bias within him. He fostered my love for science.

My condolences to the Osgood family. Carl was one of the finest teachers I know. It was on the class trip to Howe Caverns that our class of '62 coerced "Miss Costic and Mr Osgood" to stand on the kissing rock with the legend that within one year those who stand together on that rock would marry. I think it was true! He will be sorely missed by those of us fortunate enough to have had him for a teacher and mentor!

Carl was really a great man. We are all better people to have known him. Our son, David, wrote the following: "I liked him as a teacher, a tennis coach, and as a human being." Our school system and the thousands of students with whom he came in contact benefited from this quiet hero.

I was fortunate enough to have been coached by Mr. Osgood for several years on the Goshen Tennis Team. He would always encourage and support us even if we were not the best of players. Everyone was given a chance to prove themselves and we always felt important and special to him. As the current Mayor, I am honored to extend my condolences on behalf of the entire Village of Goshen.

I was so sorry to hear of Carl's death. He was such a kind, wonderful person and a great teacher. I was proud to be a colleague of his when I taught Mathematics at Goshen Central. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

Mr. Osgood was a very special blessing to me in my high school years. I remember him as someone who always had an answer for any question, and he was infinitely patient. He was a genuine gift to all of us. I extend my deepest sympathy to his family, and thank them for sharing their gift of this very special man with us. May God's peace be with you especially at this time of your loss.

Millie, I was so sorry to learn of
Carl's passing. My thoughts and
prayers are with you at this difficult time.

In sympathy,
Eileen Brown
