Not sure what to say?

Mr. Tosches was my principal. The year was 1981 when I graduated. But before that he would always say to me Yolanda get to class. I learned discipline . I loved the care he showed me. May he rest in peace.

Back in SHS (1965) I recall Coach Tosches as a gentleman. I hope his family has successfully dealt with his passing in 2021.

Had him as a football coach for one year 1965, Came from RI and he rode my butt about my "Kennedy " accent . Great coach and person.

God Bless Mr Tosches. Our Principal my junior and senior year. Great leader, Coach and always had time to talk with the students. Had many laughs and conversations on football and politics in the WHS courtyard. And I cannot thank you and Steve enough for all of your help. Tom Hardiman Class of `81

Carmine was a true Knight and Educator. When I was just starting off in adult life he never put me off and gave freely of his time and insight to help.God's Speed my friend.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Toshes family for the loss of your father. I'm forever indebted to him for hiring me to be a Physical Education Teacher for the Stamford Public Schools. He did so much good for the Stamford community and was a strong advocate for the sports programs throughout Fairfield County. He had the ability to make everyone he met feel welcomed. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Sincerest condolences. Played under coach Tosches at S.H.S. A great leader and inspiration.

"Never show up or embarrass your opponent " "You win with dignity and you lose with dignity " Those are just two of the things that I remember from Mr Tosches. A class act that we all were lucky enough to know. Stamford High School Class of 1968

I am sad to hear about the passing of Carmine Tosches. He was an admired and loved coach, school administrator, and an important educator and mentor to many. His contributions to the city of Stamford, sports and education will long be remembered. What a difference he made to many. He was a coach and mentor to My husband Paul Erwin, a graduate of Stamford high in 1962. My sister Marcia Jones Kleinman and I attended Stamford High and graduated in 1962. Marcia taught at Westhill when he was...
