Hilman and kids,
I was fortunate enough to meet and work with Carol at Hartford Hospital when I worked in B10I as a travel nurse back in 1988. What a wonderful caring person she was. She was so very kind to me making me feel comfortable since I didn't know anyone there. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Howes family,
I was very saddened to learn of Carol's passing. I was privileged to work with Carol on C12 in the 1980's. I was a pretty new nurse then, and Carol taught me so much. I was always glad to see her name on the schedule with me. Her laugh was infectious! She was a true team player and we'd always work well together and have a good time no matter how crazy the shift got. She always spoke of you all so fondly. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers....
