Carol Lowe Obituary

Carol Lowe

1942 - 2025

- Carol Jean Forbush Lowe

1942 – 2025

Carol Jean was born on December 22, 1942 and passed away on May 24, 2025 at the age of 82.

Carol Jean was born in Richfield, Utah to Guy Lavore Forbush and LaVon Marble Forbush. Her family moved from Richfield to Monroe, Utah where she called "Home". She attended primary and seminary in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and received numerous achievement awards during her growing-up years in Monroe. She attended Monroe Jr. High School and graduated from South Sevier High in Monroe in 1961. She moved to Salt Lake City with her former classmates Charlet Washburn and Ilene Johnson. There she met her future husband, Dean Lowe. They enjoyed a beautiful marriage for 61 years.

She was mother to: Marcus Lowe, Darrel Lowe, Brian Lowe, and Jared Lowe. She was also an adopted mom to her husband Dean's children from a previous marriage: Dianna Torres. Dean Lowe Jr. Bradley Lowe, and Denise Batt.

Carol and Dean were married on March 20 1964 and sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple December 17, 1971. Carol and Dean are grandparents to 23 and great-grandparents to 31. Carol loved people and would greet them with a warm, inspiring smile and a firm handshake. Her beautiful spirit would radiate to those she knew and met. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Many nurses and CNAs at her care center were "caught off guard" by her humorous remarks.

Her partnership with her husband Dean was exemplary, as was their love for each other. Her love for her children and grandchildren was beautiful and cherished. Carol and Dean shared many wonderful experiences, and they went to many places. They travelled by car or flew in their airplane to various destinations in the US and Victoria, Canada. They spent winters in San Diego, and took a number of cruises – one of which included the Baltic countries and St. Petersburg, Russia. Many sites were visited in England, and Paris, France. Carol worked for 14 years as an Urgent Care Office manager and also worked at LDS Hospital. Carol's passing leaves a void in the hearts of family and friends. She will be missed. Until we meet again – Goodbye for now sweet Carol.
