My condolences to the family of Mrs. Ondra. I had her for choir at Grimmer and knew then and now that she was a special teacher. You could tell she had that gift of teaching in her blood. She had a way of making things fun and enjoyable. She had former students coming in and out to visit her throughout the school year as well. That doesn't happen to all teachers. Heaven just got a lot more joyful and musicial.

She was the best music teacher I had. She taught me not to chew on words of the songs.

Dear friends and family of "Miss Burch" and "Mrs. Ondra,"
I cannot explain what made me search the web to find out what ever became of my first music teacher... and now I am saddened to read that you laid her to rest... earlier today.
Wow.
Rest in peace, Miss Burch.
May the angels take her to paradise.
May perpetual Light shine upon her.
Rest in peace, from one Alto singer in the Lincoln Elementary School choir in East Chicago, Indiana... class of 1974... who is still singing.
May God bless you-all and your families in this time of sorrow.

Hi Ron, and family. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Though I only met Carol a few times by Steve and Ethel's house, she impressed me as a very joyful person, who definitely loved her vocation in music.

Dear family of Carol,
I was a teacher at Grimmer Middle School with Carol.
Her kindness to me is something I always have remembered.
I notice my Slingerland red drum set in one of the photos.
That was taken at the Dyer Methodist Church after Carol
encouraged me to play "The Star Spangled Banner" at the church. I will always remember her encouragement to me both at that event and during the times we taught at Grimmer.
I know I have another friend in heaven now as I am thinking of her family today. May you find some solace in knowing how Carol has touched the lives of those around her.

Dear Ondra Family,we are sorry to hear about your loss. Carol was a great member in our Red Hats Community. Carol never had an unkind word about anyone. Carol was always kind, thoughtful, caring, helpful, always there when you needed her. And don,t forget Carol had a bright smile that lit up the room. Carol never let on that she was sick. This was so sudden. We are so saddened. Carol will be missed by everyone. Now all of us will have an ANGEL watching over us. Sincerely,The Red Hats Community.
