I will never forget Dr. Carr. He was like a second father to me at times and an amazing mentor who took an interest in my career and in the lives of my family! It's been 9 years since he went to be with God but not a day goes by that I don't remember him! May you be at peace Dr. Carr and may you know that you mattered in my life and in the lives of soo many! Maritza

Thank you, Dr. Carr´s family. Dr. Carr was one of the best mentors in the world and a great leader, accepting people without regards to genetics, skin color, race, national origin, gender, creed, etc. and loved us all the same. I met Dr. Carr, sixteen years old, attending State University of New York at Albany. Dr. Carr made sure I received: food, remedial courses (even though I graduated in the top ten percentile of my NYC public high school class, I was not on same level as students...

My daughter came to see him as that giant man she'd run to with arms wide open asking him to pick her up. He was the human ride and without...

It's hard to believe that 5 years have passed since God took Dr. Carr home to be with Him. Not one day goes by that I don't enter the EOP Complex at the University at Albany where Dr. Carr gave 23 dedicated years of his life to this program and the students and staff that we proudly serve, that I don't look at his portrait that hangs at the entry way and I don't a) ask him to provide me with the strength to make a difference in the lives that I will interact with on any given day, and b) that...
