Catherine Polera Obituary
In loving memory, the Polera Family announces the death of Catherine Andrea Polera of Coral Springs, FL. Catherine passed at the age of 81 years old. She was born in St. Vito, Italy, in 1931. Catherine was married to Vito Polera (deceased) and they lived and raised their children in Scarsdale, NY most of their married life. Catherine is survived by seven of her nine children, 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Catherine's nine children and respective spouses include Rosemarie and Anthony Abatino of White Plains, NY, Anthony and Debra Polera of Boca Raton, FL, Frank Polera (deceased), Salvatore Polera (deceased), Diana and Thomas Savino of Purchase, NY, Vito Polera and Julie Weeks of Coral Springs, FL, John and Valerie Polera of Armonk, NY, Michael and Patricia Polera of Poughquag, NY and Catherine Polera and Jennifer Young of Cold Spring, NY. In addition, Catherine is survived by her sister Loretta Cerullo of Bayonne, NJ and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday December 22nd at St. Patrick's Church, 29 Cox Avenue Armonk, NY 10504. In her memory, donations may be made to the Sandy Hook School Fund, c/o Newtown Savings Bank, 39 Main Street Newtown, CT 06470.

What an outstanding lady. I am so sad to learn of Mrs. Polera's passing. She was so young at heart and so special. She was such an inspiration to me, and I will continue to miss her. Best wishes to her family.....

To the Polera family I remember your mom from my childhood when my father and mother would come to your home in Scarsdale . She was a lovely woman and I know she has joined your dad Vito and my mom Bettina and my dad Francesco Amodio in heaven.

Rose and I were deeply saddened upon learning of dear Catherine's death. As most of her children may remember, our own Katherine was Catherine's godchild, and we all recall the pleasnt get-togethers we had at Vito and Catherine's lovely home in Scarsdale, and at our fomer home in Van Cortlandville. Unfortunately we don't know where all the Polera children now reside, and would be happy to send some of our old joint fsmily photos if any of the children would send us their msiling address. Rose and I now reside in New London Pennsylvania, and our Email address is [email protected]. We would love to hear from you all.
