I first encountered Cecile´s paintings before I met the artist herself. Her cityscapes, often unpopulated, are striking. She was a smart and talented artist and it could not have been easy to make a name for herself in the 1970s, 80s and 90s competitive and male-dominated art world. But she did and helped pave the way for other women following in her footsteps.
