Cecile Voisine Obituary

VOISINE, Cecile O. Cecile O. Voisine, 87, of Linden St., Plainville passed away after a long illness on Friday, (March 27, 2009) at home surrounded by her loving family. Cecile was born Nov. 17, 1921, in St. Agatha, ME. the daughter of the late Emile and Willina (Guimond) Ouellette. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the former Allied Control-Gould in Southington. Cecile has had to maintain much strength during her life filled with tragedies. Her mother died when she was only three years old, her husband, Edward was killed in World War II at the age of 24. Her second husband, Phileas suffered a heart attack and passed away in 1980. Once more, Cecile was alone, but she thanked God for strength and for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that were always there for her. She was a survivor. She is survived by her children, Jenny and husband, Robert Fazzone of Berlin, Karen and husband, George Laskowski of Plainville. Also from Plainville Susan Nolan and her two sons, Jeremy and Ben who she helped raise. A son, Dean Voisine and wife, Nancy of Southington; 12 grandchildren, Debbie, Mark, Kim, Troy, Jeffrey, Lenny, Jeremy, Ben, Jason, Brandie, Amy, Destinee; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother, Paul Ouellette of Florida; a sister, Loreen Savage of Maine; a step-brother, Maurice Ouellette of Plainville; a step-sister, Antoinette Ouellette of Maine and many nieces and nephews. Besides being predeceased by her 1st husband, Edward and 2nd husband, Phileas, she was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Ecton; a son, James Voisine; a grandson, Carl Raymond, along with a sister, and four brothers. Cecile loved to play cards, sew, knit, crochet, bake, cook, and go for walks with her four legged friend, Pheonix. Mom's life was her family and mom's family was her life. She always had that jar of M&M's for her children, no matter how old. She was devoted to her children and their children and set an example for us all to follow. She loved being with her family on weekends, during holidays and at all the family gatherings. Both at home and at the parties, she was a cook, waitress, maid nurse, counselor, and close companion to all. She never complained. Cecile will be missed by all. The Funeral will be held on Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Dominic Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-8 p.m. The Family wishes to place on record their grateful thanks for the expert care physically, medically, and emotionally, by the hospice staff, treating their mother with respect, love and dignity.
