I became a friend of Cecilia`s through her daughter, Anne Barrett, one of my dearest friends. I met Cecilia in May of 1990 on the day Anne and I graduated from Boston College with our masters in psychiatric nursing. It was the first family gathering, but certainly not the last, in which I was heartened by her luminous presence and beautiful smile.
