Not sure what to say?

Leanna, Sorry for your loss. Your Mom took good care of Mama Rose and me . I know she is giving and helping someone right now !

Belate birthday, Mom...You would have been 87 on October 3rd. I know you said I'd be able to always find you by phone that I secreted in with you when we laid you to rest, but I guess you haven't seen the phone because I havent heard from you except in my dreams...I miss your counsel and advice and having Manhattans with you..Love, Leanna

Happy Birthday Ma....Sally, me and Belinda toasted with Manhattans to you tonight and sang Happy Birthday! Love you and miss you,

Sis always told her students that we are "the center of the spoke". Her passion for nursing was immense and showed through her teaching. From the first day I met Sis, I was truly inspired and I will never forget all that she taught me. After seeing how great of a mentor and friend she was, I was very inspired to become an instructor myself in the future. When I started at CCSF, I didn't know how much or what I would get out of it, but now I can say that I definitely got more out of CCSF than...

It was an honor to spend some time at sis's house for a few weeks when she went to Sweden. Through this I found out that sis does everything for her family and to also sets a good reputation at City College of San Francisco. Her advice to me was that I should pursue a higher degree because one day I will want to expand from floor nursing.
She was very kind to me and had so much energy.
She also told me to enjoy life as I am still young.
I will always remember sis and I wish sympathy...

My brother "Gene" wrote this:

For those of you who may be interested in how my mother came to be a Nurse please visit http://lhncbc.nlm.nih.gov/apdb/phsHistory/resources/cadetnurse/nurse.html
This web site is a very good description of the Cadet Nurse Corps established in 1943. My mother was a member of the Greatest Generation and went on to prove it every day for 62 years from the day she became an RN in 1946. .

From Lisa Muschi-Alvarez and Jose Alvarez, We would like to send our sincere sympathy to both Zia Sis's and Zio's Gene's passing. It came to a big surprise to us. May they rest in peace with the angels and they will both be sincerely missed.

Cis was such a presence at CCSF. I was in the nursing program that graduated 5/07, and even my family members at the ceremony commented on how dynamic Cis was. Cis was there to support us, guide us, and give us tough (sometimes very tough!) love when necessary, and all of her efforts will always be appreciated. My deepest sympathy to her family and loved ones, and may your happy memories of her comfort you during this difficult time. She will never be forgotten!
