Sister Charlene Kelly, RSM, a member of the Mid-Atlantic Community of the Sisters of Mercy, died peacefully Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Mercy Center Dallas, after a brief illness.
Sister Charlene was born May 14, 1931, in Newry and was the daughter of Pius and Ethel (Costlow) Kelly.

My condolences to the Sisters of Mercy and to the entire Kelly family on the passing of Sister.
In addition to being my brother Bobs 1st grade teacher in 1955, she also took care of my sister Ginny (Sr Virginia Bertschi RSM) during her 4 year battle with cancer in 2009- Charlene was 80 years old at the time.
She was a remarkable woman to whom I was privileged to befriend and get close to during my sisters illness. I loved hearing her stories of coming from such a large family and...
