My condolences to the Sisters of Mercy and to the entire Kelly family on the passing of Sister.
In addition to being my brother Bobs 1st grade teacher in 1955, she also took care of my sister Ginny (Sr Virginia Bertschi RSM) during her 4 year battle with cancer in 2009- Charlene was 80 years old at the time.
She was a remarkable woman to whom I was privileged to befriend and get close to during my sisters illness. I loved hearing her stories of coming from such a large family and the order there was in that home. She also taught me how to properly load a dishwasher.
I spoke to her last week and planned to visit her this week, not realizing her illness was at the late stage it was.
God Bless you Sister. You taught me much. ❤ Rest In Peace. I love you.
