I met Charlene less than one month ago, when we began our Master's program together at NYU. Dear Iman and Zenda,
Indeed shocked to hear the sad news about how your beloved daughter left this world. It's really heart-rending, even if I didn't know who the parents were. The fact is, I've known Iman since we were teens and have interacted with your family on some class reunions held in NJ.
Will be dropping by Ridgewood tomorrow evening to view Charlene and offer my prayers and presence as moral support to you both. Bon courage!

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your loved one. I am a complete stranger, and I was on that street the day this tragedy happened. I have closure to know that she at least had family that loved her. Once again my condolences.
