Charles Blankenship Obituary

Charles R. Blankenship, 92, of Forest, passed peacefully on January 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Blankenship and his children, Linda H. Ramsey and Philip L. Nelson.

Charles is survived by his sister, Reva Geppi, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles was a Navy Veteran, having served in Korea, and was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather.

Funeral services be conducted at Whitten Funeral Chapel Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 1 p.m., with interment following at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Those wishing to send memorial contributions are asked to consider a charity of their choice.
