Charles M. BREININ

I remember Charlie with much fondness tonight. Charlie and my late father were friends since their time in college and maybe even before that at South Park HS. Both products of the chemistry department at UB, they kept in close touch for many decades. They visited Turkey, Greece and Italy after college and spun a tale of a misadventure driving through Yugoslavia. I had Mr. Breinen for Chemistry at Riverside High School in 1973. I loved it so much that I decided I would go to college for Chemistry. That dream didn't work out, but I will forever appreciate the sarcasm and encouragement that he gave me.

To the loved ones of Charlie Breinin - I had the honor of knowing Charlie through working at The Amberleigh. He was soft-spoken, friendly and intelligent. He will be greatly missed.
