Not sure what to say?

Reposting my original post and trying to upload one of my favorite photos - which I need to put in JPEG format- which i will try to figure out. So happy to spend time thinking about Chillie today. 8/1/2020:

Lee and all the family—We are so sad to hear the news of Chillie's passing. One of our favorite people on the planet, Chillie was friend and soul mate to my dad; they shared the same sense of humor, commitment to public service, commitment to church, preference for iceberg...

Chillie has been woven into the fabric of my life since I was a child growing up in Rumson. He was indeed the quintissential Mayor and all-around kind and charming gentleman, leaving behind a legacy that no one can hold a candle to. I will really miss his visits to Borough Hall, and his hugs during the "Peace" at church. God bless you, Chillie - you were one of a kind. Rumson already feels emptier without you. Lee, my deepest sympathy to you and all the family.

On behalf of the entire Rumson Democratic community as the Democratic Municipal Chairman, I extend sincere condolences to the Callman family for their loss and the Borough of Rumson's loss.

Uncle Chile with Lee & Me

Charles Callman had been my dad's best friend, and was my Godfather when he passed away at his home earlier this week. He was 94 yrs. old. Charles Callman attended my Christening at St. George's Espiscopal Church in Rumson, NJ, where he was the town's mayor for many terms. Two of his children were my earliest babysitters, and his beloved wife, Lee, remembered every birthday, Christmas and celebration for years & years. "Uncle Chile" gave me my first bible, and lots of rides in his cool red...

Lee and all the family—We are so sad to hear the news of Chillie's passing. One of our favorite people on the planet, Chillie was friend and soul mate to my dad; they shared the same sense of humor, commitment to public service, commitment to church, preference for iceberg lettuce, love of the Republican Party, fascination with sewer for Monmouth County, frequented the North Jersey Coast Line before electrification, and shared a common outlook on the world. After my dad died, Lee and Chillie...

My condolences to the entire Callman family, especially my friend forever, Chuck. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Mr. Callman in 1967 and his wit/charm was memorable back then.I'll never forget his infectious smile and warm personality. He was "Mr. Rumson" and his legacy will endure for generations. RIP,Mr. Callman. Another member of the "best and brightest" generation has left us.

Sincerest condolences, Lee, and to all the family: a true gentleman, and one of the most loyal and helpful men in the business!..we will truly miss his twinkling eyes, big smile, and bright wit, at all the functions..our thanks to him, and his family, for all the years of dedication and service to his town and the Republican party!..Fondly, Gerri Popkin and Jim Giannell.

Godspeed, Mr. Callman. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Callman and all the Callman family. Mr. Callman's list of honors and achievements is prodigious, but his greatest gift may have been his ability to touch all those who met him with his kindness, wit, and decency. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Lee and family, Please know that we send our love to you all. Chillie will be sorely missed, one of the best the Lord created in our opinion. Consider yourselves hugged. God bless
