To Dr Dart's family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father and grandfather. As an employee of old St. John's, I knew Dr. Dart in the 1970's and, again, in the 1980's as an employee of his medical office. While countless memorable events come to mind from those times, many years later, what is, truly, most unforgettable is the manner in which Dr. Dart exemplified quiet compassion as a gracious, thoughtful man, in addition to his being a groundbreaking cardiovascular surgeon....

The world has lost a great person and great surgeon. I worked at St. John's Hospital for many years on the Telemetry Floor, and enjoyed his frequent visits. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Dart. I went to work for him in 1989. I was a single Mom of 3 and had never worked in a Dr.'s office before. I started out filling but soon became the surgery scheduler. I knew nothing but with the help of all 3 of the Dr.'s I went on to do it for almost 20 years and made life long friends.
