Dear Mrs. D. and all the family:
I was extremely sorry to hear about Mr. D's health problems in recent years, and it is very sad to hear today of his passing. But we all live in hope that his suffering is over and he is in a better place now. I hope that belief provides some comfort to you.

I will always remember his smile and laugh and the fun times we enjoyed with him at NU in the Student Union and also as volunteer workers for his masterfully-organized NU Commencement...
