Not sure what to say?

To Crestwood neighbor Gladys Duncan and dear friend Pam Thurber Duncan I extend my deepest sympathy. Your family's loss is shared by a community that was enhanced by his many contributions to it.

Charlie's long life in the law was full of the acomplishments that have earned him a honored place in the history of the District of Columbia. A thoughtful friend and a generous mentor, he carried himself with an understated elegance to which many aspire but few achieve. I celebrate the life and mourn the passing of this wonderful man who it was my honor to know.

The Howard University School of Law has been greatly enhanced by Charles Duncan. His service to the law school and the coummnity at large will continue in the lives he touched.

A great friend to the entire family and an important part of the entire community, he will be greatly missed.

He always knew exactly what to say. His words brought cheer and comfort. I am both diminished by his passing and strengthened by having known him.

He was a great inspiration to all who shared time with him. We were enriched through our encouters with him. We will miss him greatly!
