Read MoreI am serving in military in Turkey right now and therefore heard the news late. I am very sorry to hear that Chuck is no longer with us. He always had a great story to tell and a great joke to follow it. He always made believe that anything is possible, with hard work and a little luck (as he wrote in his book). Well, I feel that I was very "lucky" to meet a person like him. I will miss him a lot.

Durham was a huge supporter of the community, and of Scouting. He served on the Mid-America Council board since 1960. He served as a Director of the Boy Scouts Board North Central Region (1978-92) and Mid-America Council Chairman (1978-79).
