Not sure what to say?

Charles was a better athlete than many know. A bit in the shadow of cousin Carl, Charles was an excellent football player and a good guard at basketball. I think of this friend often and I remember a good man.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I worked with Charles for many years. He was a good thoughtful friend. I loved his smile. Prayers to family.

I had the pleasure of working with Charles at Kellogg's. He always made me laugh and was a very caring and kind person. I will truly miss his friendship....a friendship that spanned a good 35 years.
Rest in Power Charles, until we meet again.

Charles was a very great friend of all of us at Kellogg. Everybody loved him and his sense of humor and quick wit. We did motorcycle rides together and always liked to discuss how bad our states professional sports teams were. The Lions, Pistons, Red Wings, & Tigers were all cellar dwellers in their respective leagues. He always stayed loyal to them even when I would laugh at him because they were soooo bad. Thank goodness that Charles had UM & MSU so he could keep some of his sanity! ...

Charles was one of my best friends at Southwestern Jr. High and we remained friends thru high school and beyond. We had classes together, but mostly bonded because of sports. He was a good and an underappreciated athlete. One thing not mentioned in the obit was how funny he was. We had a lot of laughs together and he was a very kind person also. He was always the guy I was looking for at the class reunions. I sold my weight set to him and later on I would tell him he got strong because of me....

Our paths have crossed once in a while, last at our last reunion. I’ve always had good memories of charles; we went to Southwestern and BC Central in the same class. Charles always struck me as someone of good character and friendly. From one vet to another “Oorah”. My condolences to his family, he will always be in your hearts.

Charles was such a gem and a ray of bright (and sometimes mischievous ) light. Our paths crossed numerous times at Kellogg’s and every time they crossed he always left me with a smile on my face. My thoughts and prayers to his family and close friends.

I've known Charles since we were in 5th grade, he was at Wilson and I was at Lincoln. We attend Southwestern for two years and then BC Central for three years. Charles was a good person and a good friend. He will be missed by all that knew him.
