Not sure what to say?

I'm so sad to hear of the passing of Charles Erikson, he was such a sweet man. I spent a lot of my teenage years at their house, and have such fond memories of the whole family. Mary Lou, Brittney and Thor I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your families.

Chuck Erikson was a good guy. I worked with him for 20 years at Hendy International and West Coast shipping Co. (a part of UNOCAL) operating a fleet of oil tankers in the U.S. and international trade. He knew more about marine transportation of petroleum than anyone I ever met. He was my boss, my leader and my mentor. He was an honorable man; honest, fair and brave. All those who knew him are diminished by his passing.

Captain Erikson was a kind gentleman for sure. My condolences to the family for your loss. It's been a long time but we were your summer home neighbors on Cape Cod. When I knew Charles my maritime career was just starting out and we talked about the industry and sailing both for work and for fun. That was over 35 years ago! He was a good man and lived a good life.

Mary Lou's blue VW parked in the garage. Beautiful memories... The conversations we had over those years by the little white gate next to the mailbox, were...

I had the pleasure of working for Captain Erikson in West Coast Shipping Operations from 1989 until he retired in I think it was 1992. He was a good mentor, a good leader, and a true gentleman. He will be missed.
