Not sure what to say?

Charles really helped me find my way through some tough times. I'll always remember his kindness and sly sense of humor. I hope his family and friends find some comfort, but this is just so tragic.

I worked with Charles at FMH and his Dad worked with my Dad on the tobacco market many years ago. It touched me so deeply when Charles' dad came to the funeral of my father. I had the upmost respect for Charles and he could really make me laugh. I have not seen him in many years because of job changes but I am truly sad to hear of his passing. I know all who knew him will miss him so much. He was a good man.

We have known and loved Charles and Max for many years since living in Winston-Salem. Their friendship is dear to us, and we have enjoyed many fun times together (even a Canadian trip several years ago!). Charles will be truly missed. Please know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Charles was the kind of person that everyone should have as a friend. I am very proud that I could call him mine. My prayers and thoughts are with his loved ones.

To the Faison Family, my sincere sympathy is extended to you during this time. May your memories of better days sustain you thru these dark moments.
(Beth Rickman's sister)

My deepest sympathies to family and friends. I went through 12 years of school with Charles and even though I have not seen him in years, I remember him fondly as a brilliant, kind and gentle soul. To his mother, Velma, I fondly remember you as a loving mother who was always so kind to Charles' classmates throughout the years. May time help to heal your hearts from this great loss.

On behalf of the staff of the Forsyth Medical Center Library, condolences to his family and friends, on this, the passing of a true gentleman and a dedicated health care professional.

To the Faison Family: I have known Charles for a long time. He would always help us understand the medications we needed to give to our patients. All of us at Novant have lost a great friend. May God keep His loving arms around you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Though time and distance separated us, Charles will always hold a special place in my heart - a dear friend and colleague - my prayers are with Max and his family
