Kendall and family, you have my sincere condolences on your loss. I remember hearing stories from Kendall on our train rides to NYC.

I grew up on a farm in upstate ny and Charlie and his mom, aunt Louise would visit most summers.....they were always welcome with open arms, Charlie mainly for his wit and playmate fun,,,aunt Louise for her different hair colors every year and her great smile. When I moved to Staten Island as a young person, they were both there, again with open arms.....aunt Louise and uncle Charlie fed me and Charlie introduced me to "stumpys" his corner bar....i still remember aunt Louise cooking thin pork...

Charlie spent time on the Payst family farm during summers as a youngster then more recently at family reunions. Loved by us all as a playmate then as a story-teller extraordinaire. How wonderful to have had Charlie in our lives.
