Jane & I were close friends from early childhood through high school until I moved to Phoenix in 1960. I remember going to her house after elementary school to watch Howdy Doody on tv. We were friends when she met & started dating Charlie (he was an older guy to us girls ). Sadly, we lost close touch over the years because of the distance, but when I brought my aging mother back home for her 50th college reunion at MacMurray, Jane took us to lunch at the Country Club. To Jane and your family, know that you and Charlie are in our thoughts and prayers. Carolyn and I are in Florida and just saw Charlie's obituary on Facebook. Jacksonville has lost a true community asset who did so much over the course of his lifetime.

This man was a Jacksonville great. He was a very kind man, and always had a smile on his face. He lived a very good life, even though it threw him many ups and downs. He will be deeply missed by many. My condolences to the entire family and former business associates suffering from this loss.
