Dear Claire:

I met Charlie and started playing trombone with him in several trombone choirs (including bones west ) in the 1980s. You were such an inspiration to me as you used to attend all of his rehearsals and sat out there listening by yourself. I hoped to find a woman of your beauty some day. Charlie will be sorely missed, as a musician mentor and friend. I was blessed to have known him and performed with him. Just as I believe in Heaven, I believe that Charlie and my father are in playing Heaven's 1 O'clock lab band. God Bless you Charlie !
