Dear Rose and family,

Charlie was such a wonderful man and co-worker. During the ten years that I was privileged to work with him, I never heard him speak ill of anyone. He was such a dedicated worker and a good friend to all of us.
He spoke of you and his sons and grandchildren with great love and pride. His 'work family' misses him and isn't the same without him.
I won't be able to call him 'Charlie, my boy' again except in my thoughts and prayers.

Charlie was one of the nicest and most fun people to work with at the street department. He always made me smile and I knew that when I worked with Charlie, the day would go by quicker. Charlie would always let me sit in the best chair in the sign shop during break, and was quick with a comment that would make us laugh.
