Not sure what to say?

After reconnecting with a staff member from Children's Express, I searched Charlie Lord's name and found the news of his passing. He had an amazing spirit, an infectious laugh, an inspiring soul and he touched my life profoundly for the better. I thank you for sharing him with Children's Express. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Gay,
We just learned of Charlie's death from cousin Shelly Barth.
I have such fond memories of you and Charlie at Holton. In particular, our brief show business career with Charlie as Elvis, and you as part of our "Baby Love " chorus line. I cherish our times together. All the best, Nell Hampton

I just found out about Charlie's death and find myself quite sad. Charlie introduced me to St Tim's in 1984 and I have remained. His heart was huge. He was the grandfather to all the girls at the school. When he retired, his portrait was in the HMAC. I would look at it everyday and smile. His presence was always with me.

Heartfelt condolences. Over the years have bumped into folks across Asia from Hanoi to Shanghai who knew Uncle Charlie and related some very funny stories

I send my sincerest condolences to the Lord family. Mr. Lord was more than my benefactor and I always looked forward to writing to him. I still keep both of his letters in my backpack and treasure them as if he were a penpal.

We remember Charlie Lord as a bright, engaging, worldly and valuable addition to the faculty and staff at Maumee Valley Country Day School.

Becky and I are so very fortunate to have known him and his family. We are better people for having him as a friend

Dear Gay,
So deeply saddened to read of Charlie's passing away. I remember with great fondness my room mate at Yale and friend from long, long ago at The Buckley. A great man has slipped away. Love to you and to the family. John Horn
