Not sure what to say?

One of the most interesting and thoughtful people I have known; he was my mentor in medical school and led me to choose what I do now for a career. I will never forget the lines of physicians in the hallway with jackets of films to go over with Dr. McKown when I worked with him in medical school. He greeted everyone, knew them all well, worked through their patient's issues and pretty much always seemed to be right. Larger than life. I will miss him greatly.

He was quite the opposite type of teacher of Dr.McKay, but we learned much from him also. Over the years after graduation, when I returned to the Tri-State for visits, it was always good to see him and talk about our days w/Dr. Tolley, Dr. Maia, and Dr. Anton. His influence on the medical community and the MU School of Medicine was immeasurable. I had not seen him for several...

Dr. McKown was a total class act and I will miss him immensely. Condolences...

I knew Charlie for almost fifty years. He and Dr Maia took me and my wife to our Radiology, Inc recruitment dinner at the Club Pompeii. Over the years I observed his humor, generosity and loyalty. A good man. Sorry for your passing and may you rest in peace.
