Not sure what to say?

May you experience Jesus' Peace, which passes all understanding. I am so sorry to hear about Charles' passing. He and I went to HSPVA and I also reside in Mableton, GA. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

May God be with you all.

Nelson Family,

Please know that the late Professor is loved and admired by Morehouse. We know that your loss is great. You have a good number of us for support and anything you may need. Your husband and father did the same for us, it is the least we can do for you.

On behalf of the Men of the Class of 2009,

As a student of Mr. Nelson, I would like to send my most heartfelt condolences to his family. In a short time he inspired many students of Morehouse College to think more deeply about art. I would like to thank him and his family for that gift he shared with the institution.

Tonia, Bryant and Nicholas,
I regret that I cannot be with you today to support and uplift you, and to celebrate the life of my cousin. I will be lifting you up before the Lord as you go through this today. Charles will always be "Lil Chuck" to his family. We share your great loss.

Offering our deepest condolences during this time.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I didn't know Charles for very long, but I can honestly say he was one of my favorite people and one of the "realist" brothas I know. He was an inspiration to all the students that came through the Teen Artists Academy at Southwest Arts Center, and a real cool cat, ya dig. Charles you will be missed, but certainly not forgotten.

My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to the Nelson family.

My prayers and blessings go out to the Nelson family. I was priveledged to know Charles through his time teaching at Southwest Arts Center. He was an excellent teacher who demanded the best from himself and his students. My prayers and blessings go out to the nelson family. I hope you can find peace in knowing that he uplifted, inspired and touched so many hearts through his spirit and his artwork. He will be greatly missed.
