Not sure what to say?

Gen. Searock. You were there for me when the Air Force was going to end my career at 16 years. You presence stopped them in their tracks. Always in your debt, Rick Hartkopf, Msgt(ret), USAF

Without a doubt one of the finest officers I ever came in contact with during my time in the Air Force. I still vividly remember an out brief at the end of a SAC ORI in 1979 when they showed the overall ratings of the Maintenance Squadrons (He was the DCM at the time) and they were all rated Excellent. I've always been proud of my early promotion to Senior Airman and he was the Commander of the early promotion board that time, made it that much more special. Not only was he highly...

Whitey is no longer with us but we always talked about Charles and how nice he was. It's good to look back and remember the people that we cared about

Charlie and I traded Bomb Squadron and OMS commands at Pease AFB, NH, were GOs together in SAC, and were dear friends for most of our professional careers. He and Ann were among our dearest friends, and we felt Charlies loss deeply. Sadly, we have lost track of Ann, but wish her to know Virginia and I extend our deepest sympathies at her loss.
Steve Croker, Lt Gen, USAF (Ret.)

Into the Wild Blue General, RIP Sir.

I served with him in Plattsburgh AFB back when he was wing commander in 1983, remember talking to him on a red flag exercise in las vegas. He had the respect of everyone who worked for him.

Charlie was a great friend and a superb human being. He was the bomb squadron commander at Pease AFB, and I the OMS/CC. One day the wing commander called us in and told us we'd just changed jobs! For an hour or so I had both squadrons.. Not sure at first he knew what to expect, but as he so often did, jumped in with both feet.
Lots of laughs on both our parts, and great memories.
Later we were GOs at SAC HQ together. Again good times and fond memories.
Virginia and I have wonderful...

I dealt with Lt-Gen Searock only briefly but he was a true gentleman. My condolences to his family and friends. Lloyd DeVincenzi

Ann: Annette & I only learned of Charlie's death in the recent MOAA magazine. Apparently the General Officers group did not send out a notice. Please know that you & the family will continue to be in our prayers. We fondly remember our years together in SAC. God Bless. Buck Shuler
