Not sure what to say?

What a wonderful man. I´m so happy that my own children got to meet him a few years ago in Sarasota. Many of my fondest childhood memories were shaped at Hob Haven under his leadership of camp songs and so much more. He and Ann set a tone and taught me so much, such examples. I´m very much a product of those years and so grateful. Heartfelt condolences.

Chuck, you were head of The Lower School when I knew you best. As Lower School teacher, I found you wise, kind and an inspiration to us all, teachers and students. Be at peace.

Mr. Sprandel was so instrumental in my desire for learning. I like to think I´m also one of the horns from his Thanksgiving song.

Seems like yesterday when Charles visited with Jennifer and me here in Holland. Had such a wonderful time... brings back so many memories of 402 North Mingo...

Deepest of condolences to the Sprandels. I had hoped I would see you one last time sir. Thank you (and Ann) for having played such seminal roles in my life and all those others who grew up under you.

Chuck was both a colleague and a true friend of mine. Yes, he was as much a fan of the Michigan Wolverines as I am of the Fighting Irish. I had the privilege to attend a ND-MIch game with Chuck. I remember losing a bet to him and having to wear a Michigan hat and sing the fight song in the MVCDS courtyard. He was simply and truly a good man.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Sprandel family.
