Pastor Stevenson played a major role in my life as a young minister under his wing at Garden of Gethsemane COGIC. His emphasis on education and a firm grasp of the Word of God has helped shape who I am today. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. You will be missed Pastor. I love you.

My wife and I first met Pastor Charles Stevenson while we were attending Bishop College together. There was just something very special about him. He was always a very kind and concern person. I last saw Pastor Stevenson while leaving the church after my wedding. My wife and i often talked about how he stopped his car in the middle of the street, to run into the church to congraduate us.
To the Stevenson family, may GOD be with you and keep his loving arms around you during this very difficult time. I will remain in pray for the family, friends and love ones.

I was introduced to a new way of worship when I first entered the Olive Branch Church. Pastor Stevenson was more than a pastor, he was like family, and I learned so much from him. You will be deeply missed. To the Stevenson and OBC family, you will remain in my prayers during this time of loss. Gone but never forgotten.

I am LaDonna Davis Jarden, Pastor Murphy, little sister....I use to be a member of Community of Faith where cecile and her children were faithful members. I love the fact that the entire family didn't mind praising God. I do believe that this is a sad occassion, but death to a beliver is not a bad thing. I was spiritually birthed through the ministry of Pastor Charles L. Stevenson under the tutelage of Dr. A J. Hine. Pastor Stevenson's biblical teachings helped to cement a sure foundation and love of the word of God in my life. Pastor Stevenson was a man of many gifts and talents. Observing his leadership and administrative skills was my initial training ground and the lessons learned during the 12 years he was my pastor continue to serve me well both in my personal life and professional career. I appreciate all that Pastor Stevenson's ministry added to my life and offer my sincere condlences and heartfelt sympathy to the Stevenson family, the Olive Branch church family and the former members of Gethsemane COGIC.
