Not sure what to say?

Father Bill Stopp and mother Ann were incredibly proud of their son, Charley who lived his life as they had envisioned. Bill was his son's mentor who, himself, lived a life of community service to Germansville in his work for the volunteer fire company and his faithful attendance at Heidelburg Lutheran Church. It was so fitting that Bill enjoyed his final years of this life living next door to Charles and Barbara on Franklin Street in Slatington. Charles Stopp left a huge legacy in the form...

Always a gentleman and a consummate professional, Charlie was a pure delight to speak with or be around. He will surely be missed by all.

Just a few reflections over the past year. Charlie playing with my soon to be wife´s two piece custom made pool cue (thanks Jim Croce) at the now defunct Crystal Bowl in Kutztown. Him also along with Bill Kocher hosting my 21st Birthday party at their apartment at Audrey Ann in 1969. Playing football on the beach in Atlantic City Sept 1970, after the summer crowds were gone. Charlie with a Swisher Sweets and a big smile at some bar in Atlantic City, circa 1970´s. Playing football at his...

Charlie, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. If I hear news about one of our classmates, I want to call you and tell you about it. I hear a song that was popular when we were young, I think of you when you tried to sing it. I can still picture you using the cast on your broken arm as a wiffle ball bat. The night it was awful hot and neither of us could sleep, it was midnight and we went to Behlers pool and sat in the water up to our necks and just talked about our up coming school...

To the best boss, I can´t believe it´s already almost a year since you have passed. Your office now houses a new young attorney and it is odd every time I walk in the office to not see your name on the door or all your pictures and of course your fish on the wall. When I have questions I so miss having you there to ask and talk it out. I learned so much from you more than anyone or any class I could ever take. Thank you for that. Rest in pease boss you will never be forgotten.

I just heard about his passing and offer my condolences to his family, albeit a little late. Charles was the kindest smartest person I think I have known! It was always a pleasure working with him. He always was cool, calm and collected - and always so knowledgeable! - when helping the NLSD with legal issues. He will be missed by a lot of the community.

The world has lost a true gentleman and one of the the most generous people when it came to sharing the goodness within him. Thank you for allowing us to know...
