Charles Strickland Obituary

Charles David Strickland July 19, 1951 - January 21, 2005 WAVERLY HALL, GA — Charles David Strickland, 53, of Waverly Hall, died Friday, Jan. 21 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. today, Jan. 22 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel with the Reverend Danny Courtney officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Mr. Strickland was born in Columbus on July 19, 1951, son of Edna Strickland of Columbus and the late Dewitt Strickland. He was a member of Bethel Tabernacle Assembly of God and was a self employed painter. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era and a life member of the VFW. Other than his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ruth Gail Strickland of Waverly Hall; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Strickland and his wife, Charlene of Cataula, Ga.; his sister, Donna Strickland of Columbus, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
