Charles Brooks Thorne M.D.

Dr. Thorne and Mrs. Thorne were such great friends of our family as we were growing up. Dr. Thorne was my doctor for many years and I was able to keep up with the girls (Lucy and I are the same age) for a long time. He was a wonderful and gentle man and I am thankful he and Mrs. Thorne were such a part of my life and that of my family. My thoughts and prayers go to the girls and all the grandchildren.

My family lived next door to the Thorne family during the years I was in high school 1955-1959. They were a wonderful family. I babysat for their daughters - Lucy, Nancy and the twins Heather and Holly.
Such cute girls ! Later when I was a young adult Dr. Thorne was my internal medical doctor. He was a wonderful man and doctor - so kind and gentle. God bless him !

I never knew Dr. Thorne. I only knew "Charlie", a delightful man who, every morning, on my walks with my Westie named Baxter, would slowy idle up to a stop in his little car, roll down the back window, and let Abby, his Westie, and Baxter "commune" for a few moments. Charlie and I would briefly discuss the weather, exchange a pleasantry, and congratulate each other on having the good fortune to have Westies in our world.
