Not sure what to say?

Mr. Tremer was the most memorable and inspiring teacher I ever had. I have thought of him many times over the years: like whenever I am able to read something in Russian; when I was excavating a tomb in Egypt and when my son was studying Chinese language in elementary school. I’ve proudly told my kids about his experience as Pennsylvania’s representative for the teacher in space program - so many times that they are probably tired of hearing about it every time there is a space launch! Now...

When this crazy school year started, Mr. Tremer sent a note for me to share with my kids. It was 5 great points of advice about how to live your best life and to keep learning. It’s advice we will keep near and dear to our hearts, and words I hope they share with their kids. He said:

“1 – Always be YOU. My mother always said “Unto your own self be true...”. YOU are really the only person that knows what you, your heart and mind are made of. YOU are YOU.

Jan, Shana and family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. My parents and I were saddened to hear about Walt’s passing and remembered him as a great person. Take comfort in all the wonderful memories.

I am so sorry to hear about Walt's passing. Although I didn't know him, he sounds like he was a wonderful person who was loved by many. My condolences to Janet and the rest of the family.

Thinking of all of you dear to Walt and sending my heartfelt sympathies. Walt was special to those of us in the Class of 51L NASA Teacher in Space Program snd remain in our hearts too. Sincerely, Sue Ellen Darnell Ellis, Kentucky

Our family remembers you fondly especially for the support of all the ice skaters in the Valley. An exceptional person always present with kindness and humor. We are saddened by the loss all of us are experiencing. The Stufflets, Kenny, Sandy, Lisa and Mike

I am so sorry for your loss - I was one of the 44 students who went on the Soviet Union trip in 1988 - I cherish the memories of that trip and actually became a history teacher. I remember Mr. Tremer as a kind teacher who worked to include everyone.

Jan & Shana,
I'm so sorry to hear of Walt's passing. May you find comfort with family & friends in the days ahead.
My sincere sympathy.
