I'm so sorry to here of his passing. I was a student of his. I will never forget he used to tell us excuses are tools used by fools to form a statue of nothing less. He was an awesome teacher and mentor. I played flute in band. He was an awesome teacher he will be missed. My prayers go out to the family.

Mr. Warren was a huge influence in my life, as were Mrs. Warren, Jeff, and Kevin. I still drive past the house occasionally and think about how my mom would always honk if she saw Mr. Warren outside. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed.

Me, Warren was my first band director at Salem. I will never forget, and still talk about his tough ways. He expected great things from us, even at such a young age. His wet cigars, and dodging his baton are just some of the hilarious memories I have. I truly, even then , admired his tough love approach to running his band. Being a teacher now, I can appreciate all the work he put in. He took care of us like one of his own and that has always stuck with me. Mrs. Warren always seemed to be the ying to his yang ,and I'm truly sorry for your loss. He will be so missed. Now my son is in band and marches. He has spread his band nerd wings, just like his mama. Mr. Warrens legend lives on.

A sad goodbye to a man who had more than a profound impact on my life. What I learned from you as a teacher is ingrained in my human fabric. Thank you for all of it.

Mr. Warren was our band director at Plaza Middle from '84-'86. He changed my life by bringing the love of learning to play the flute and piano. Some of those I was in band with was Beth Mooney, Leslie Coble, Brian Cook, Damian the drummer, Joey jones, Andy ....he wasn't easy.... Would throw batons and walk out...we'd have to run laps if we fell out of time marching. It made us fiercely competitive because of his belief we could be our best and win, and that we did! Also, first time I ever felt like all of us fit in....we were a team and a band family. Never found anything like it since and will never forget him! He will be missed!

Mr. Warren aka Chuck was a great resource and assistant to me in my inaugural year with the Kempsville High School Band Program. I learned a lot from Chuck and he inspired me with his energy and drive to be the very best. He shared many wonderful Kempsville Band stories with me. My condolences and prayers to Imogene and the family.

Mr. Warren was my first band director at Granby High School. Everyone in the band simply loved him for his genuine interest in his students. After all these years, I still remember some of his teachings. Mr. Warren taught by example, good citizenship & common courtesy. The world of music instructers & musicians will miss him greatly.

I had Mr. Warren as my band teacher the first year at Plaza Jr High, he was a great teacher that taught us discipline and commitment to music that started with him, was enforced by Bill Pease and into high school with Ron Collins.

I am sorry for his families lost and you will be in my thoughts.
