Read MoreI was thinking about Charlie today and was sad to learn he had passed away. He was a wonderful teacher and very patient with the sometimes rowdy kids at Indian Hill High School. We had a great time in his biology class and learned a lot. Yes he would shake his head at our antics but sometimes laugh along. He genuinely loved the kids and he helped us to grow and learn. What a great legacy.

Charlie was/is a great example of the life he lived, the lives he helped shape, and the desire for all to have the opportunities that challenged him. Charlie believed in people, and that all things were possible if one just researched and found the answers to complete a project.

Mr. Wojcik was my high school chemistry teacher at Indian Hill (class of '60). He and my dad, also a chemist, convinced me to go into chemistry. I managed to receive a Ph.D. in chemistry and retired as a chemist from Eastman Chemical Company. He gave me a good start! Dave Petke
