Not sure what to say?

My sincere condolences. Uncle Jay was a very kind man. I remember when my father Wade (brother of Uncle Jay) died that Uncle Jay told me if I ever needed someone to talk to that I could talk to him. He was a big comfort. I'm sure he will be missed very much by all.

Chase made a lasting impression on me as a boyscout as he told us his story over 35 years ago. I have never forgotten that heroic account and his story helped me enjoy a lasting respect for his generation. I am so glad I was able to visit with him as recently as last summer.

I wish I had known this hero from our greatest generation. Your family is in my prayers.

I am Chase's son Craig's mission president in the West Indies. Elder Craig Nielsen is one of the finest missionaries we have received in this mission. He is very close to his father and is working harder than ever to bring souls unto Christ. He represents his father well.

As a 17 year old about to graduate from high school these men along with the Flying Tigers were an inspiration and are my lasting heroes to this day. God will cherish them.

Mrs. Nielson,

My warmest sympathy to you and your family. The time we spent together during the filming of our documentary, One Hour Over Tokyo was some of the most inspiring of my life. Your husband was a true gentle soul, a man among men who graced us all with his humble nature and kind spirit. And he was so lucky to have you by his side. God Bless you as your amazing husband makes his final flight into heaven.

Sorry to hear that a hero has passed. I enjoyed the occaisions I had to meet Mr. Neilsen, and appreciate his sacrifice, courage, and example for our country. I'm sorry not to see him again in San Antonio next month.

My condolances to the family as I know you will miss him. What a life he lived. I'm sure you're all very grateful.
