Cherise Bement

I learned of Cherise´s passing this morning and was so saddened. We were planning to get married, and she said she would wait when I left for the Air Force in 1962. She did wait, and we resumed plans when I returned in `66 and until other events intervened and I moved to Ohio. In 2020, I was lucky enough to randomly reconnect with Cherise and share many fun and happy reminiscences of her and her beloved family and neighborhood from those early years. I've known her brothers Rory and Steven since 1973. I didn't meet her until 1990! - Then reconnected in 2013. We were good friends ever since. We'd sit on her (west temple) patio an talk about everything. One time I took her to their former house on 8th so to show her the garden that they were making including the house. Although I didn't know Cici personally, I grew up in the same ward as the Bements. I admired the family and the kindness they showed everyone. I have nothing but fond memories of them!

My deepest condolences to the whole family. Cherise will be greatly missed. She was such a wonderful person full of so much light and love. May she Rest In Peace.
