Not sure what to say?

Its been 60 years since I worked for Chris, I still have fond memories of him, Though I only worked for him for 2 1/2 yrs. He is one of 3 people that had a profound effect on my life. I will be forever grateful, for the positive influence he was.

I cannot tell you how many times I have remembered Chris, his smile or words of encouragement meant so much to me as I was working for him. (64-67) At times I felt like he was the only adult in my life that I could trust or talk to. Steve Clegg

Years pass but memories never fade or be forgot. Most all old gang now gone as well as the sale of all and also gone as well as all the old pictures. We all hope new owner makes it as will be and uphill battle selling tacos -- Harold Flemmer

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

I was raised on 58th and Gold St and enjoyed the good food at Petrows and still do when I am back by the old neighborhood. I went to school with Maria. Nick catered my parents 40th anniversary in 2009. I am so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Carrie Gibbs

I worked forChris from 1964-67, started as dishwasher and became eventually became a cook. He taught me that the true reward for good hard work was more good hard work. He was truly a man to be respected admired, and trusted.

Teddy,
We were so sorry to hear of your loss. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

I have so many great memories of my childhood as your neighbor on Pine St. I so enjoyed going to the restaurant. I even remember one time when mom asked me to walk all the way down there and back as she wanted one of Chris' hamburgers. With my deepest and heartfelt sympathy to you on your loss.

I remember Chris from the old days of the Igloo on 41st & Leavenworth. His dad, Nick, was so nice to me and I remember Chris, Betty and Helen working there. My deepest sympathy goes to his family and friends and thanks Chris for a lot of happy memories.
