Chris Walker Obituary
Services will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Sunset-Brown Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Road, Northport, (205) 345-2900. Visitation for friends and family will precede the services at 1p. m.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Warren Adams; and Robert and Virginia Walker.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Carolyn A. Walker; his siblings, Eddie Walker, Matt Walker, Ken Walker, and Lynn Glode; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends.
Chris was a free spirit, a lover of life, music, and the great outdoors. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Celebrate Recovery at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 5400 Hwy 69 N Northport, Al 35473 (205) 873-5095 or Children's Hospital of Alabama https://www.childrensal.org/donate-now

I was sorry to hear of Chriss passing. I unfortunately never had the privilege to meet him. His death is part of serious epidemic. You are not alone. All families including mine has dealt with this. My fondest memories of Chris are from the Contemporary Worship Service at St. Mark UMC. He spent many hours behind the scenes making certain everything was ready for Sunday morning services. He was always joyful, quick to give a hug, and showed God's love to all he met. Chris knew the love of Jesus Christ and we are so thankful for Heaven today.
