Christine Mcway was my granny. She told me and my cousin right from wrong. She will always preach to me and tell me ''These streets ain't for you baby.'' When I found out my Granny died I was very hurt but at the same time I was happy for her because she's up there with the man she loves and not stressing no more. I used to come and help my granny almost every weekend just so she wont have to do nothing. But now I know she is resting and is in a better place and looking down on her babies and watching us grow up and see smiles on our faces. Love You So Much Granny.....R.I.P Lady

TO THE MCWAY FAMILY, WHEN I HEARD THAT CHRISTINE HAD PASSED AWAY IT HURT MY HEART BECAUSE CHRISTINE WAS EVERYONE MOMMA & AUNTIE, TO TUNGIE, FRED,DONNIE, & DIANE I AM PRAYING YOU ALL STRENGTH IN GOD, CHRISTINE WILL TRULY BE MISSED, TELL MY LOVE ONES HELLO AND I LOVE & MISS THEM, REST ON FROM YOUR LABORS !!!!!!

Condolences to the McWay family. Back in the day at (Greater)New Shiloh MB Church in Orange Mound during the Gospel Chorus concert time we couldn't wait to hear the "Willis Sisters" Trio sing together. We all wanted to hear Chris alto voice. She could sing. RIP Chris - My mom, Virginia (choir director) will greet you. Peace to the family. Dianne Harris-Cooper

Christine was the sweetest woman I have ever met. She helped my mom raise me, my brothers and my sisters. Chris and I had conversations that would last for hours. She wiped my tears, shared lots of laughs, and would cook us the best fried chicken for dinner. She welcomed our family into hers as if she raised us herself. She was my first real friend. When my mom passed away, she was still there to comfort me. I love her so much and I will miss her! Christine McWay will always be my black mama and I will forever be her white baby!
