Not sure what to say?

Chris was my close friend in elementary and junior high school. Played little league and surfed with him during the above mentioned time period. Kind of diverged away from each other at the beginning of high school but I ALWAYS respected him and his superb surfing abilities. Am saddened to just now learn of his passing 5.5 years years ago, but am stoked to learn that he lived a full life with tons of family and friends. I remember a stormy mixed up big peaky day at the jetty.
I just walked down to watch the surf. The only person in the water was Chris and he was treating it like his own play ground.
At that moment I realized he had natural elevated skills. I heard the news of his passing today. May his soul rest in peace.

You will always be #1 in our hearts! Rest in peace my dear friend. You will be missed.

Chris was a year younger than I but part of a close knit group in Pacific Palisades. There were two great surfers at the time. Frank Hooton and Chris.. Chris was better. I have surfed just as long as Chris but he would still paddle circles around me..lol. I don't have many friends but Chris was on the short list. We ran into each other about 20 years ago in Long Beach. He told me that he had 4 kids and I was like..What??He referred to them as the Anderson clan. We would see each other...
