CHRISTOPHER FETGATTER (Age 40)
Best friend for 15 years and loving husband for nine years to Cathy Dolan Fetgatter, Chris Fetgatter passed away Monday, January 25, 2016. Chris was a proud Oklahoman and avid Sooners fan, rooted in his Choctaw heritage. Chris earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut, law degree from American University''s Washington College of Law, and MBA from American University''s Kogod School of Business. There, he began several lifelong friendships, the most important one with his future wife, Cathy. During law school, Chris interned with Occidental Petroleum Corp, which started his 12-year career with Oxy, where he advanced from Director to Senior Director of Government Affairs. Chris most enjoyed spending time with Cathy and their daughters, Sadie and Molly, his family, countless friends, and five godchildren. He is survived by his mother, Sue Ellen Rae of Tulsa, OK; his father, David Eugene Fetgatter of Okmulgee, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Dava and Sean Lyman of San Diego, CA; brother and sister-in law, Scott and Kim Fetgatter of Okmulgee, OK; and brother and sister-in-law, Sean and Katherine Fetgatter of Tulsa, OK; and ten nieces and nephews. Chris'' memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Metropolitan Methodist Church, 3401 Nebraska Ave NW, Washington, DC. Dear Cathy and Family My son,Jay Dmuchowski, was a very close friend of Chris. They went to Uconn for four years together. We knew him as Oklahoma and what a truly nice guy he was.
